The Wedding House Real Bride – Jessie and Chris
There is nothing we love more than hearing about our brides wedding days! As many of you know, we are very enthusiastic about everything wedding related and right from the word go, we love to know your wedding plans! We find it very heart warming seeing our gorgeous brides in their wedding photos; especially after being a part of their journey helping to find their dream dress. What is nicer to read than a real bride’s story?
We reached out to our lovely bride Jessie to ask a few questions about her big day and thought we would share her wonderful story and photos.
Where to begin…
I wanted to keep the theme relatively natural and rustic. It was an outdoor wedding and the colours were neutral with lots of greenery. It was held at my parent’s property in New Zealand and so much hard work went into getting it ready! I think because of this, it was all the more special and we absolutely loved every minute of it! We had about 110 people – this was so hard to narrow down! We were lucky however to have special friends and family travel from overseas for our day – this really made it!
If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t change a thing!
Finding ‘the dress’
My wedding dress experience was long but amazing! It was long in that I tried so many dresses before finding my dress! Initially, I was after long sleeves but couldn’t find what I was after. Finally, when visiting my Aunty in Derby, I came across The Wedding House – I immediately knew I wanted to go to try dresses there! From the moment we arrived, the beautiful Wedding House girls were so kind and so very helpful. We were served drinks and cakes, the ultimate dress shopping aids! The girls at The Wedding House absolutely made my wedding dress experience – they are so incredibly kind, helpful and patient and it was an absolute pleasure!!!
The dress I chose was not at all similar to what I had originally thought! Although my dress was beautifully detailed, it was relatively simple in style/shape, which wasn’t my initial intention! I loved the fit and how comfortable it was! I also loved the beautiful beading and detail on it, the lace, the train EVERYTHING!
As well as my Martina Liana dress, I also purchased my veil from The Wedding House and could not have been happier with either, love you all and can’t thank you enough!!!
The Big Day
One of my absolute favourite memories of the day was walking down the aisle and seeing how everything had come together and especially seeing all of our beautiful guests and my handsome groom – it was literally overwhelming to see so many of our loved ones in one place & I couldn’t stop the happy tears, SO special!
Another was after our first dance when all our guests joined in to boogie with us it was the best feeling and so much fun!
As a lot of the vendors are from New Zealand, I have made all UK vendors bold 😊 A standout worth mentioning was our AMAZING photographer, Chris and Ruth Photography! They made our wedding pictures more beautiful than we could have ever imagined and were SO incredibly wonderful to deal with, we absolutely love them!
